Noronha Neves.
Noronha Neves (1990, Lisbon) is a Portuguese artist whose practice explores painting as a gesture of abstraction and a material process through which memory and temporal transformation are embodied and carried.

Working with organic and unstable substances — natural pigments, mineral elements, as well as industrial media such as acrylic and oil paint — his work investigates surface and image as sites of accumulation, erosion, and transformation.

Through processes of layering, absorption, and removal, his work engages with instability, where traces emerge, dissolve, and reconfigure over time. Chance, duration, and environmental conditions actively shape both the outcome and the experience. The work exists in a continuous state of becoming, resisting fixed form or resolution.
